Jousting Knights
Probably a fan favorite experience! Watch the Queens bravest knights battle for her honor. This show happens three times daily in the shire’s tournament arena!
Shop the Artisan Market
An open air Artisan Marketplace that has over 140 vendors. Glass blowing, cobblers, sculpting, leather work, jewelry, blacksmithing, potters and more. Enjoy a variety of unique, hand-made wares. Perhaps a great way to purchase gifts for your family members for the holidays! Never too early to buy!
Feast like Royalty
Who doesn’t love eating? Get a must-have turkey drumstick (it’s not a Renaissance Festival without the iconic turkey drumstick)! If its a chilly day in October, enjoy a warm yummy stew. And, of course…you can’t NOT have a beer! Wash your food down with a craft beer. Be sure to stop by the Cappuccino Inn for a hot drink as well!
As someone who has personally gone to a few festivals, my personal favorite are the shows. Especially Hey Nunnie! Nunnie! Mother Redempta and Sister Philomenia of the Sisterhood of the Wailing Souls will have you giggling and wanting more! My next favorite is The CRAIC Show. A Celtic steampunk barbarian blended band with roguish vocals, rhythmic mandolin, harmonizing violin, intense percussions and blaring bagpipes.
The Carolina Renaissance Festival will keep you happy and busy. You may even need more than a day to experience it all. This is perfect for all ages.
