To stay busy on Lake George, you don\u2019t always have to be out in the water. One of the best parts of visiting a new town is exploring its history.<\/h4>\n

Lake George was a critical territory during the French and Indian War, which was fought between England and France in the mid-1700s. While the war ended more than 250 years ago, there are historic sites in the Lake George area that preserve that history. You don\u2019t even have to be a history buff to appreciate the history that surrounds you as you explore Lake George. This is a perfect way to keep you, your family and\/or friends busy.<\/h4>\n

Chapman Museum<\/h2>\n

Visit Chapman Museum<\/a>, located in Downtown Glens Falls. The museum features the history of the Queensbury\/Glens Falls area. Experience the Victorian life in the DeLong House, enjoy the exhibits in the Carriage House Gallery (exhibits change 3 times per year), check out some Seneca Ray Stoddard photographs and maps in the Stoddard Gallery. And, of course, grab some souvenirs in the gift shop!<\/p>\n
