Bolton Landing: Did You Know?

Almost all of the islands of Lake George are located within the town of Bolton’s boundaries.

Bolton Landing was formed on March 25, 1799. It was once part of the town of Thurman.

If you want to go camping, Bolton Landing is the place to go! There are over 300 shoreline campsites and over 100 day use or picnic sites located on 44 state owned islands.

Want to go for a hike? Try out Tongue Mountain Range in the Bolton Landing area. It consists of approximately 25 miles of trails with beautiful views of the lake and mountains.

Bolton Landing has 3 public beaches that are available at no charge to visitors.
